All things Bermuda!

Every time I travel I am opened up to new experiences, new people and new challenges. This weekend, I was on the lookout for a last minute adventure so I headed to Bermuda. With just a two-hour flight from NYC, I thought what the heck – let’s give it a go.

And what a trip it was. The beautiful island, which is a British Overseas Territory, is only 25 miles in length and it’s surrounded by perfectly clear turquoise waters. The locals are kind and, bonus, the monetary exchange is 1:1, so you can use their Bermudian dollars or US. The thunderstorms were the loudest and most intense I have experienced in my life, and actually shook the resort.  I also got to experience them up close and personal. We got caught in a thunderstorm in the middle of the ocean – thank goodness for seasick patches because the water was rocking like crazy! But then, in an instant, you can escape it by plunging in and scuba diving.

I spent most of my time on a scuba intensive for certification. The guys at Triangle Diving could not have been more awesome, and I highly recommend their unique trips.

And, of course, I took my technology along. This go-round I packed light and used only the GoPro Hero2, Liquid Image Ego and LifeProof underwater iPhone 5 case. See below for the full vid!
