Two Emmy nods. One win. Thousands of hours of live television experience. Say hello to TV host and tech expert Katie Linendoll.
Simultaneously quirky, well-spoken, geeky, stylish and down-to-earth, Katie shatters the mold of the typical tech personality. With a delivery that’s intelligent but never dry, sophisticated yet accessible, she’s proven herself relatable to niche and mainstream audiences alike.
Katie has been enamored with science and technology for as long as she can remember. At the age of 14, she taught herself how to write sophisticated programs and build computers from scratch. By the age of 18, she held a certificate in computer networking and was enrolled at the Rochester Institute of Technology where she earned a degree in Information Technology New Media. Perhaps best known as the Emmy-nominated host of A&E’s We Mean Business, Katie can be seen these days as a guest commentator on CNN, where she discusses everything from new technologies to the politics of internet privacy. Notably, Katie develops most of her segments on her own, proving herself constantly reliable to producers while breaking the stories she’s most passionate about.
Katie’s also proud to be the resident tech expert for The Nate Berkus Show, which premiers September 13th on NBC. In addition, you can catch her on the CBS Early Show with regular gadget segments, expert commentary and “app of the week” spots. She’s also working with Gizmodo on an upcoming new media project.

Katie spent two years as HSN's resident "Chic Geek", and managed to accrue over 20 million in sales for the network. She has been featured in People Style Watch, Forbes.com, Journal News and New York Daily News, among others.
Last but not least, Katie knows sports. She began her career while still in college as the host of SportsZone on ESPN2. After graduation, she landed a production job at ESPN's headquarters in Bristol, CT, nailing an interview that required her to name the last 5 Heisman winners and the starting line-up for the Orioles. She went on to earn an Emmy award for her behind-the-scenes work on SportsCenter. Katie hails from suburban Pennsylvania where she is the youngest of four girls. She’s studied with top professionals for hosting and voice in New York City and trained in improv at New York's Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater. In her spare time, she likes to participate in wing eating contests, build her ever-growing Pez dispenser collection, and watch her essential weekly allotment World Wrestling Entertainment.
