Hi, I'm Katie Linendoll

Having grown up in the digital age, I love having a career that keeps me at the forefront of science and technology. Below are some of my formal resume bullets to help you know me better. Want to connect? Don’t be afraid to reach out and say hi. Think of me as your friend…. with connections ;)

I’m best known for my role as a tech contributor on the TODAY Show, but every week you can find me contributing to other outlets as I explore the latest tech stories across the world.

In 2015, I was honored to be named a visionary in Silicon Valley during the 18th Annual SVForum Visionary Awards. In years past, that distinction has gone to Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Tim Draper. Needless to say, I’m blown away to have my name included in such a list of thought leaders!

I spend as much hands-on time in the field as I do on my laptop conducting research. Whether I’m diving underwater with NASA astronauts, witnessing the ways that mobile technology is rebuilding the Philippines economy in the wake of Super Typhoon Haiyan or sharing a first look at the newest iPhones on the TODAY Show, I am on always on the hunt for the latest tech stories.

I have been fascinated with technology since I was little and have a degree in Information Technology New Media from the Rochester Institute of Technology. After graduating, I went on to work behind the scenes for ESPN, where I was proud to win an Emmy Award for my work on SportsCenter. I was honored to be nominated for another Emmy for my work as co-host (aka the tech host) on A&E’s We Mean Business, a program that helped revamp small businesses across America. I also hosted a pop, gaming and tech show for Spike TV.

In my career, I have contributed over 60 pieces to ESPN on sports tech, worked as a contributor to CBS and CNN and written for various outlets and different types of media, including Shape and E!

I run my own business, Katie Linendoll Productions, where we produce content for a number of top clients and outlets, such as Popular Science, Brookstone and RetailMeNot.

I travel the world delivering keynote speeches and dynamic presentations on innovations in technology; hosting and moderating various panels and presentations; and working with experts and celebrities—from top chefs to world-class innovators—to share their messages, and my own.

Watching WWE wrestling has been one of my favorite pastimes since I was little. I’m a frequent co-host of the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast (often ranked in the top 10 in sports on iTunes!) and have produced several professional WWE pieces for Sports Illustrated and Men’s Journal, and you can also find me on the WWE Network.

I recently launched one of the top tech podcasts, Katie <dot> Show, where every week I share first looks in technology and science and interview the most notable minds in the industry.

A fitness obsessive, in my spare time, you can find me working out at the gym, on the trails, on a bike and up on any mountain. I also play piano and love volunteering, and I serve on the board of the Batcole Foundation, which supports research on pediatric cancer.

That’s just a taste of my journey. I’d love to share more with you (like how I sold $20 million in products at the Home Shopping Network and won a Guinness World Record–true story!). But in a hyperactive era, I think I’ll save those for another time and place.
