Katie Linendoll is an Emmy Award-Winning TV personality. She has been the host of multiple TV shows and specials both on-air and online and can be seen as a regular guest on various TV programs from Rachael Ray to The Weather Channel to CBS Sports Radio. Personally, Katie takes pride in living a faith-filled life as a devout Catholic and is excited to share her passion for Christian music through her self-funded EP, Jericho Battle Cry. Additionally, 50% of all net proceeds from the tracks and merchandise will be donated to a cause close to Katie’s heart.

Katie’s debut single, “Jericho Battle Cry” supports Bugles Across America—a non-profit organization that has created a network of musician volunteers who provide Buglers to sound “Taps” live for Veteran funerals at no cost.

Welcome FRIENDS! 

You may have read all about my TV personality above, but now I am elated to share an even bigger and more important part of my life, my music and faith! So, here we are—kicking off an exciting musical journey. The goal? To inspire others, even if it’s only one person, with my music… similar to the way other artists have inspired me. If I can do that, then I have accomplished what God has led me to through my love and passion for music. 

Backstory

My dad is a drummer, so I guess you could say I have always been drawn to music. I have taken voice lessons on and off over the last 15 years and have dabbled in guitar, piano, music theory, and various music software programs. With my professional life on television, I am very drawn to the pre- and post-production of music. I have produced select music projects over the years, but I am now finally diving in on this long-overdue journey. I live a busy life as a consumer tech expert where you can regularly find me on TV (Rachael Ray, The Weather Channel, etc.) and I also speak about technology and innovation across the globe through various media outlets and stages. For much of my career, I traveled over 300 days a year! But when the pandemic hit, all my work became virtual or on a green screen, which allowed me to be home more and to work on my music—a real silver lining.

About This Track

And this leads me to proudly share my very first single, “Jericho Battle Cry.” This song is naturally based on the Biblical Battle of Jericho when the Israelites were trying to take command of the fortified city of Jericho from the Canaanites. The Israelites marched around the city once a day for six days. On the seventh day, God commanded them to march around the city seven times and then to sound their ram’s horns. With infallible courage they blew their horns and sounded up in a battle cry! And as God never fails, the walls of Jericho crashed down. 

As I also come from a proud military family, this song contains equal parts Americana, vigor, and scripture (“Be clothed in the armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the treachery of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11 CPDV) 

A common thread seen in both my personal and professional life, which I can assure you will also be a part of my musical career, is that I work hard and take no shortcuts. So much effort and time has been poured into this project and I’ve humbly had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best pros in the industry who have helped bring my lyrics and ideas to life. 

So, whether you’re alone in your room, driving in your car, working out, or traveling anywhere in the world—I hope and pray that you turn this song up and feel inspired. I can’t thank you enough for reading along and being a part of my journey.
