Forget One in a Million, #1in7Billion!

Did you know you’re one in 7 billion people on this planet? Let’s let that sink in for a minute.

7 billion humans! It’s mindboggling, no? Especially when you consider how similar and yet how incredibly different we are from one another. I mean, some of us dress up our pet goats in pajamas. Others adeptly juggle while they hover board. Some bike with the bounce of a kangaroo. Some even qualify for a Guinness World Record for the most high fives (ahem). It’s the little things that make us all, well, us! And I’m not sure I’ve seen a better representation of that than in this fun little montage by the Intel Security True Key Campaign, 1in7billion.com.

SPREAD THE WORD

As part of that campaign, Intel Security wants to know what makes you unique. Share it in a video, photo, post or tweet or Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Vine using the hash tag #1in7billion. And I’m honored to be working with them to spread the word!

I’ll start. Here’s a video that shows my friend, Lauren, who is usually a completely calm and rational person. She went a little crazy when she got her wisdom teeth out, and in my mind, this is one of the many things that makes her #1in7billion.

There’s a reason Intel started this campaign, and it’s something that can really help you and I protect all of our unique #1in7billion identities online. True Key is an app that uses facial recognition technology, fingerprint scanners and a variety of authentication factors to keep your identity safe and secure. In other words, there’s no longer a need to remember all of your gazillion passwords. You and your own unique qualities are the password, whether it’s a photo of your face or verification of your finger.

And True Key keeps you secure well beyond logging in. The app will actually learn all of your passwords as you put them into each of your regular sites, like Instagram, Snapchat and WhatsApp, and store them so you don’t have to remember them the next time you're online (did you know the average person has about 17 different passwords?). The passwords are protected with the strongest encryption available. Oh, and one more thing: your info is never sold or shared. Intel assured me of this—that would be not cool and super creepy.

Ready to try it?

You can download True Key here and use it on your Windows, Mac, iOS, Android or other select platforms (browser-wise, it’s supported by Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer) to stay safe and secure.

All of a sudden, being #1in7billion doesn’t sound so overwhelming, after all. ☺
