Photographing the Northern Lights in Alaska!

It’s the experience of a lifetime to witness the epic beauty of the Northern Lights. We had the special invite to head to Fairbanks, Alaska with Canon experts, including Canon Explorer of Light Ken Sklute, to learn how to photograph this celestial light show in person. During our time in Fairbanks we enjoyed the unparalleled beauty of the landscape and met some of the kindest, most accommodating people of anywhere on our travels. We realized that capturing the Northern Lights requires a trifecta of the right camera equipment, cold weather gear and ideal weather conditions. Together with our photographic guides, who led us to secret locations, we were extremely lucky to witness jaw dropping Northern Lights displays and capture the perfect shot.
