Katie hosts GS1 Connect Digital Edition

It was a pleasure to reconnect with the GS1 team and host their first-ever GS1 Connect Digital Edition. I had the opportunity to keynote at a GS1 event a few years ago and was quickly fascinated to learn more about their technology standards.

GS1 is a nonprofit organization focused on global standards for organizations -- most notably the barcode! You may not think much about the barcode, but their system is used internationally to streamline diverse commerce. Believe it or not, GS1 barcodes are scanned over 6 BILLION times every day. Pretty amazing stuff!
